Mr. A. Wahab, FCA founded A. Wahab & Co. in 1968. Mr. Wahab is one of the senior most Chartered Accountants in the country and was awarded the Medal of the then Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan in 1967 for outstanding performance in CA Final Examination.

Early audits of the firm include audit of accounts and valuation of assets and liabilities of Jute Mills, Textile Mills as well as the banks in post liberation war era of Bangladesh, which were mostly owned by the Pakistanies, who left during liberation war. During this time the firm played a very vital role in re-establishing, reorganizing and redesigning of the war stricken industrial sector in the post liberation war Bangladesh. After the devastating war, the firm under the leadership of Mr. Wahab took keen interest in organizing the accounts division of many of the abandoned industrial units in the country.
